19th June 2011, What a week....

Hi folks,

Well I've gone and done it again, I threw my dummy out of the pram and am happy not to retrieve it. I've resigned my position with RSS. I've just deleted a whole 500 words of diatribe aimed at them and Red Ribbon because I'm still pissed off. I'm handing in my letter, keys and their stuff on Monday, and that will then be that. It has taken two goes (well I had to try), to understand that new ideas, methods and opinions are not welcome or warranted. I'm getting over it, but this was a long relationship, since they were in mallow street and I was in uni (2004/5 perhaps), as a volunteer up to the Board of Management, so like any relationship its gonna take time to get over, and NOT want to tear strips of it.

Anyway, I'm going to leave that there, as I could end up saying something I regret and I'm not going to do that lol. Instead why don't we change the subject...

Sophie is moulting like goddess knows what...we brush her & vacuum, and vacuum & brush her every day and still when she comes in there is nothing but white and grey hair all over the place, its not only on the carpet, but on our clothing, the furniture, the blankets, and even...on the counter tops (don't know, haven't a clue). According to everything that we read up on huskies, they only moult twice a year, I'm hoping that there is actually a break between those two times and that it doesn't go on for ever lol.

On this Fathers Day, I find myself still at home on the north circular road, and not out in Shannon where my dad is, but I feel okay as I've sent a txt and wished him well on facebook (even though he isn't on facebook). I feel okay as I know the rest of the family will be all down at his surrounding him with all the love we have, and spoiling him rotten if he allows it. I'm making an oath to myself now that after Dublin Pride I'll go visit for the day. I do really hate Shannon, one of the better ideas I had, was to move out. It was perfect for raising the kids, but after that, I'd have suffocated.

I see that NY is voting on Tuesday about Marriage Equality, I hope it goes ahead as the state that gave birth to PRIDE, where the Queens, Trannies, and LGBT's fought back at stonewall I think they should definitely have it. I'm keeping an eye on it, and on Limerick LGBT which seems to have the same idea. Also, isn't it fantastic that the UN is finally doing something about the inequality, and torture that is perpetrated against LGBT people in the EAST? This week has been a major week of firsts...and seconds lol.

The two kiddies are still not talking to me, I think one has me blocked, doesn't surprise me really, the other will contact me when she needs me. Mick pet sat last Sunday when we went to Dublin for a conference, and has offered to pet sit next Saturday all day when we go to Dublin Pride Parade, so things with him are going well. (you done the uni stuff yet)?

So, I've got to go see where the cats have vanished to (they get out most afternoons for a couple of hours these days), before T comes home from work. Hope your all having a lovely fathers day, and that you all spoil the good ones rotten. Best wishes to all good dads, new dads, grand dads and my dad...lol
